Descrizione
La particolarità di questa bellissima opera iconografica sta nell’avere colori che vanno oltre la sensibilità spirituale di un maestro iconografo. Il bianco delle vesti di Cristo e la nitidezza dei vari colori, richiamano alla mente le parole di un grande pittore di inizio secolo XX: Matisse rimase stupito dalla purezza dei colori, pur non cogliendo l’Essenza delle Icone, ma non era sua prerogativa farlo, ed indicò le Icone come Arte popolare allo stato puro, primario.
Da notare anche la particolarità dei nimbi in argento dorato, sicuramente inseriti in un tempo diverso rispetto alla descrizione dell’opera. Era in uso applicare, anche tardivamente, inserti in metalli nobili, argento e oro, per impreziosire la tavola e più comunemente dare un risvolto Sacro per Grazie richieste o ricevute; oppure per miracoli avvenuti. Questo ci impone grande rispetto davanti ad una opera di grande valore artistico e Sacro.
Bella e rara opera d’Arte per le caratteristiche su descritte. Un collezionista di livello internazionale saprà apprezzare questa Trasfigurazione.

The peculiarity of this beautiful iconographic work lies in having colors that go beyond the spiritual sensitivity of a master iconographer. The white of Christ’s robes and the sharpness of the various colors recall the words of a great painter of the early twentieth century: Matisse was amazed by the purity of the colors, while not grasping the Essence of the Icons, but it was not his prerogative to do so. , and indicated the Icons as a popular art in the pure, primary state.
Also note the particularity of the gilded silver haloes, certainly inserted at a different time than the description of the work. It was customary to apply, even belatedly, inserts in noble metals, silver and gold, to embellish the table and more commonly give a sacred aspect for graces requested or received; or for miracles that have occurred. This imposes on us great respect in front of a work of great artistic and sacred value.
Beautiful and rare work of art for the characteristics described above. An international collector will be able to appreciate this Transfiguration.
